TRADITIONAL GOLDEN PROMISE FREE RANGE & BARN REARED CHRISTMAS TURKEYS

Bridgers Farm are the only turkey producers in the whole of Sussex who are accredited with the Golden Promise Guarantee 

 

 

 

Anthony Harris has produced Traditional Farm Fresh Bronze and White Turkeys at Bridgers Farm for more than 20 years. It is a family concern with his two sons now playing a greater part in the running of the farm.

 

 

 

          The turkeys, both free range and barn reared, are cared for in extremely high welfare conditions under the “Golden Promise” quality assurance code.

 

           Using 15 different breeds (mostly hens) allows for all required sizes from 4kgs up to 12kgs. Processing begins in early December, and all completed on the farm to keep stress to a minimum. The early start allows the birds to be hung in chillers after dry plucking, for at least 10 days - this helps to produce their optimum flavour.
