Anthony Harris has been producing Traditional Farm Fresh Bronze and White Turkeys at Bridgers Farm for the last 20 years. It has become a family concern with his two sons now playing a greater part in the running of the farm.

          Although his birds are not actually free range they are reared in extremely high welfare conditions under the “Golden Promise” quality assurance code.

          He has 15 different breeds (all hens) to allow for all required sizes from 4kgs up to 12kgs. Processing begins in early December, all done on the farm to reduce any stress. The early start allows the birds to be hung in chillers, after plucking, for at least 10 days, helping to produce their optimum flavour.
